about

In the titular song, the singer expresses his feelings of longing and depression, pleading to be reunited with those he lost. He blames God for allowing these experiences to happen, and doubts the faith that has shaped his life. The extra touches in the music after the song is done culminate to the singer’s portrayal of how he felt all those years ago, and the ethereal oohs signify his sanity and loved one passing into nothingness. It is important to know that part of the healing processes includes expressing this mentality of doubt and depression to successfully navigate through the stages of grief.
(Stage of Grief #4: Depression)

lyrics

You tell me you're strong,
But I cant shake this feel that you're wrong
That you can protect,
All of my friends and loved ones

And I know that it's not completely your fault
That you gave what you gave
It's not what you did,
but who You failed to save

For when you made him drive away,
The world that you made was what made him sway
And when you watched him overhead,
He soon realized there was a turn ahead

Even though that you held him in,
Your focus moved and you were gone again
You didn't show you were here all along
And you made him leave, the faith was all but gone...

Cuz when I see his far-off eyes,
The days and hours they pass me by
And when I see his lonely death,
I see how you look, and I hold my breath

And when I think about that day,
Time just seems to melt away
And when I see my lonely death,
I see how he looked and I lose my breath

And when I see his face on the wall,
The world around me seems to fall
And when I see him in my dreams,
It makes me want to make me bleed

And when I think about that day,
Time just seems to melt away
And when I see my lonely death
I see how he looked and I lose my breath
I lose my breath
I lose my breath
I lose my breath
